What happens at your appointment
1. Consultation – We take a full medical history, talk through what you’d like and check you’re suitable. If filler isn’t right for you, we’ll tell you.
2. Planning – Your practitioner explains the amount, technique and expected result, and you give written consent.<
3. Comfort – Our fillers contain lidocaine, a local anaesthetic, to reduce discomfort. A dental block can be added for extra numbing.
4. Treatment – The injections usually take around [15–30] minutes.
5. Aftercare – You leave with written aftercare advice and know exactly how to contact us.
Results and how long lip filler lasts
You’ll see a difference straight away, although some swelling is normal for the first few days. The settled result is usually visible after about two weeks. Hyaluronic acid filler typically lasts around 6–12 months, depending on the product, the amount used and your body.
Aftercare
• Expect mild swelling, tenderness or small bruises for a few days.
• Avoid lip make-up, alcohol, strenuous exercise, saunas and sunbeds for at least 24–48 hours.
• Don’t massage the area unless your practitioner asks you to.
